DCP03333.JPG (124383 bytes)    August 2, 2005 - Tuesday - Before installing sheet rock, we want all our PEX plumbing mounted securely and coming straight out of the walls.  To that end we use these black Vanguard pieces that make perfect 90 degree turns in our 3/8" PEX tubing and can be mounted either horizontally, as seen here, or vertically.  This picture shows the hot and cold supply for one of the sinks in the master bathroom.

DCP03334.JPG (97830 bytes)    August 2, 2005 - Tuesday - As mentioned in the last picture, the Vanguard 90 degree turn fittings can be mounted horizontally or vertically.  This shot shows these pieces installed vertically on the supply lines for the utility sink in the laundry room.

DCP03335.JPG (85587 bytes)    August 2, 2005 - Tuesday - Here is a picture of the supply lines for the kitchen sink coming out of the sheet rock.  Notice the small clear tube to the right of the PEX lines.  This small tube will come off the cold supply for the kitchen sink and feed the ice maker in the refrigerator.

DCP03338.JPG (109805 bytes)    August 2, 2005 - Tuesday - Here is a shot of the kitchen with all its 54" wide sheet rock pieces installed.

DCP03339.JPG (112569 bytes)    August 3, 2005 - Wednesday - A good shot of the initial sheet rock installed around the fireplace.  You may wonder why we installed a piece of green board directly above the fireplace.  The answer is simple.  We had a piece of green board about the size we needed so why let it go to waste!

DCP03341.JPG (109319 bytes)    August 4, 2005 - Thursday - This picture shows Jeffrey wetting down the pieces of sheet rock that will be installed on the underside of the four arched cut out doorways.  By applying water slowly to the pieces, they can be formed to the arches without cutting or scoring the sheet rock.  The line between too much or too little water is a fine one however.  Too much water and the piece will break before you even get it into position.  To little water and the piece will not form correctly to the arch.

DCP03342.JPG (127907 bytes)    August 5, 2005 - Friday - This shot shows the arch between the dining area and the breakfast nook with its formed piece of sheet rock installed.

DCP03345.JPG (122059 bytes)    August 5, 2005 - Friday - This picture shows another piece of formed sheet rock around one side of the arch at the bar between the kitchen and living room.

DCP03346.JPG (107194 bytes)    August 5, 2005 - The top pieces of sheet rock are being installed!  Here is a shot of the south wall of the living room.
