February 19, 2006 - Sunday - This past week saw cabinet installation commence. As mentioned previously on this site, we got our cabinets from Canyon Creek, a large local cabinet company in Woodinville, just outside of Seattle. This picture shows the vanity installed in the master bathroom. We chose to have the vanity in the master bath be the same height as a typical kitchen counter which is 36". February 25, 2006 - Saturday - A big "thank you" to Mark Brown who again offered his help this time installing the upper kitchen cabinets. Work continues on installing the lower units. This picture looks toward the position left open for the dishwasher. February 25, 2006 - Saturday - This shot shows the cabinets installed around the position for the range. We chose an Allure range hood by Nutone. This unit is quiet but move a lot of air, has two halogen lights, and is made by our neighbors to the north! Another great thing about this unit is the grease filters completely cover the underside, not just the fan area! Neat! February 25, 2006 - Saturday - A nice picture looking toward the kitchen sink position. This shot also shows our "cubby hole" array just to the right of where the dishwasher will be. February 25, 2006 - Saturday - Here we have a picture of the vanity in the guest bath. We ordered this vanity at the standard height in the event small children might be using it some day. February 25, 2006 - Saturday - Jeffrey found a whole bunch of tulip and daffodil bulbs stashed away at his home so he decided to temporarily put the flowerbed by the walk to good use. It may not look like it now, but there are probably 70 of each type of bulb planted here. Who says builders don't like flowers? We'll see what comes as the day get warmer! |
