January 17, 2006 - Tuesday - Today Mark Brown helped Jeffrey blow 110 bags of Cocoon insulation into the attic.  No small task!  Thanks Mark!  Being the good green builders we are, we would never consider installing fiberglass insulation.  The Cocoon product is made from 85% post consumer recycled paper and in many ways is better insulation than fiberglass.  This picture shows our attic after the install is complete.  We opted for R-38 over the living areas and R-19 over the garage.

    January 20, 2006 - Friday - Sheet rock mudding is finished!  Yeah!!  Now we are just doing touch ups in preparation for texture spraying.  We want as much light in the home as possible for texture installation.  To that end we finally unveil our back patio doors.  We will cover them with thin plastic prior to texture install.  This picture shows the patio door in the living room.

    January 20, 2006 - Friday - This picture shows the "Grilling Porch" door as our designer Michael Nelson likes to call it.
